Noviembre, mes de apariciones

Una aparición en medios no suele ser noticia destacada en el blog, pero cuatro, y tan extensas en un mes sí!! 

Primero fue el libro "The New Artisans" de Olivier Dupon para Thames & Hudson, una de nuestras editoriales favoritas.

A single press appareance is hardly worth a mention in the blog, however four big ones in a month it is!!!
The book "The New Artisans" by Olivier Dupon for Thames & Hudson, one of our favourite publishing companies, came first. 

Después el Marie Claire 2 en su número especial de accesorios nos dedicaba estas dos páginas, con fotografías de Silvia Varela y texto de Marta Herrero.

After that we got a double page spread in Marie Claire 2, the accesories special issue, with pictures by Silvia Varela and text by Marta Herrero.

Es posible que también nos hayas visto en las últimas páginas de la revista Tendencias, con una entrevista de Ernesto Artillo.

You may have also seen our feature in the last pages of Tendencias magazine, interviewed by Ernesto Artillo.

Aunque sin duda el mayor revuelo ha surgido a raiz del reportaje de Toni Torrecillas con fotos de Mirta Rojo para el SModa, suplemento de los sábados en El País. Damos fe de que sigue siendo el periódico más leído de España.

However, the article (by Toni Torrecillas and including pictures by Mirta Rojo) for Smoda -El Pais Saturday Fashion supplement- is the one that has undoubtedly scored the highest rate of readership according to the many comments we have recieved so far!! It seems like El Pais is still the most read newspaper in Spain.

De momento nuestro estudio sigue igual de caótico...

Editorial Casas

En este editorial tuvimos el placer de trabajar con la fotógrafa Rosa Veloso. Para la ambientación pensamos en  los campesinos que podrían haber habitado las casas del estampado,  en los oficios tradicionales, en los atuendos populares, en las fotografías que antes se hacía la gente contadas veces en su vida... y en "La Cinta Blanca". Tanto Rosa como nosotros la teníamos reciente por aquel entonces y nos inspiró especialmente.  Los modelos son todos amigos nuestros, y casi toda la ropa era la suya personal. La sesión fue intensa pero muy divertida ¡casi 6 horas disparando! Al final tuvimos que luchar contra la falta de luz  pero la genial fotógrafa con toda la paciencia del mundo consiguió unas fotos que parecen verdaderas pinturas.

Gracias Ari, Bárbara, Elodie, Filipa, Ibon, Jaime, John, Silja, Teresa y Yohei. Sois fantásticos.

Hoy It Fashion ha publicado el editorial en primicia, aquí podéis verlo a lo grande junto con una entrevista. ¡Gracias Estel!

We were delighted to work with photographer Rosa Veloso in this editorial. The themes for the shooting were the farmers who could have owned the houses in the print, the traditional crafts & outfits, and those old photographs from early last Century that most people hardly could afford to get taken only a few times during their lifes so they were kept like treasures, and also "The White Ribbon". Rosa and us had recently seen the film so it was still fresh in our heads and both of us found it very inspirational. All the models featured are friends of us y most of the clothes are their own. The shooting was intense and fun, almost 6 hour shooting non stop!! We had to fight against the lack of light at the end, but the great photographer patiently managed to get the most of it and make the pictures look like old paintings.
Thanks Ari, Bárbara, Elodie, Filipa, Ibon, Jaime, John, Silja, Teresa and Yohei, you are truly great!

Montmarte´s Sketchbook, (M) es Renee. Le encantan las plantas y los jardines pequeños, un poco salvajes...también comer sobre telas de cuadros y las sandalias de cuero, entre otras muchas cosas...

Montmarte´s Sketchbook, (M) is Renee. She loves plants and small gardens, slightly wild ones... she also likes leather sandles and have lunch on check fabric dressed tables among many other things...

Conocimos su blog hace ya 2 años, cuando publicó un post sobre nosotros a raíz de la edición de bolsacos que hicimos para Marc Jacobs, y desde entonces se convirtió en uno de nuestros "habituales"...lo seguimos regularmente y siempre nos sorprende con hallazgos interesantes!

Its been 2 years already since we first came across her blog, she had posted some words about us and our tote bag project for Marc Jacobs. It inmediately became one of our favourite and most followed ones... she always succeeds in surprising us with fab finds!!!
